● Introduction

The Concord-Carlisle Boys Travel Basketball program is a competitive basketball program for boys from grades 5 through 8. It offers talented and motivated players the opportunity to play against teams from other towns. The travel program aims to help players develop their individual skills, learn about teamwork, sportsmanship, and other values in a positive environment. There is one team for each grade that is coached by dedicated parents and volunteers. The program also enters teams in a local summer league. This winter the CC Boys teams will participate in the North Shore Basketball League (http://www.northshorehoops.org/).  Travel basketball generally consists of 1-2 practices per week with games on Saturdays and Sundays during the winter season which runs from December through March.  The program expects players to make a commitment to basketball during the winter season

●Tryouts

Each team holds tryouts during the pre-season that are open to everyone in that grade. It is the intention of each team to accommodate as many players as possible that are trying out. However, roster space and gym time make it so that it might not be possible in all cases.  For players not selected for a travel team, the Recreation Program provides a great opportunity to work on skills and play team basketball.  (link to rec website page).
